Got a new iPad and keyboard to go weigh a new job — still in food — at a fancy grocery store as a “foodie” or demonstration chef. “Like the old people at Costco?” my husband asked.
Not quite, but close. I cook things that fit in a tiny ramekin using stuff from the store. Which is easy because it’s a really fancy store — curated one might say.
Anyway, this is also a farewell to my beloved dog Belmont. She was born (as near as we can figure) on Feb 14, 2007. She passed November 4, 2022. She had a good, long life.
I used to say that every day was a gift as she was a rescue found in South Dallas, near a chop shop.
She might have been headed to the dog fighting ring as a training dog, destined to live her short life being chewed on by bigger pit bulls.
I’ve finally stopped crying.
Love Big & Eat Well.
xoxo
