News in my world... my picture in the paper!
But first, background...
After toiling away in obscurity for three-plus years, this blog was picked up by the Oregonian (newspaper) as one of it's partner/community blogs.
"Jersey Girl in Portland" came to the attention of the bigwig's at the newspaper through Jay Lake, amazing author and delightful friend.
Anyway...
Every week, the Oregonian highlights one of their bloggers with a web-published Q&A. Here's a link to mine. It will run until July 4th.
Props...
To Jay for introducing Jersey Girl to the Oregonian. Jay is also important because he made me sapiosexual (one who is attracted to intelligence -- one who equates 'smart' with 'sexy;). Because of him, I'll never be happy dating dumb-dumb's again.
To Spike. Back in October, when the O picked up my blog, I needed a logo. Manfriend-at-the-time, Spike, obliged. He created an image of the Steel Bridge with pink lettering. It's me through-and-through.
To Handsome & Brave. The photo of me in the yellow blouse is courtesy of BF extraordinaire, Handsome & Brave. He has a name but I'd rather let him remain anon -- unless he wants to out himself. Smart, sexy, handsome and brave he is.
To my nearest and dearest. Although I've toiled for years on this blog thing, it's success is not just a result of my work, but the work of my tribe. Friends, family, lovers, ex-husband and pets. All play a part.
Thank you. Without ya'll, I'm just a woman with a dog, who cooks.
XOXO
Nancy
